THOUSANDS of folk fans flocked to Bromyard at the weekend for three days of traditional music, song and dance at the town's 37th annual folk festival.

More than 70 acts provided visitors with 170 hours worth of entertainment from Friday to Sunday.

As well as the traditional music from acts such as Roy Bailey, Les Barker, Crucible and Flossie Malaville, visitors were also treated to everything from morris dancers to children's entertainment and a craft fair.

If that was not enough to whet the appetite, a real ale bar was on hand in the festival village.

Festival director Annie Jones said the event went very well.

"I've had feedback from people saying that this was the best ever festival," she said.

"Now, all our attention is focusing on how we are going to make it an even bigger and better event next year."
