STAFF at a Malvern pub are hoping to smash the £10,000 mark for money raised for the County Air Ambulance, with an event this weekend.
The New Inn, on Lower Howsell Road, Malvern Link, is holding its annual harvest auction from 8.30pm on Saturday.
It is the second time the pub has held the event and fruit, flowers, vegetables and home-made produce, including wines and cakes, are set to go under the hammer.
A cricket bat autographed by players from Worcestershire County Cricket Club will also be auctioned off, along with a print donated by Francis of Malvern.
Last year, the auction raised a total of £260, which kick-started a year of fund-raising for the County Air Ambulance through a series of events.
The pub has now raised £8,842 for the charity and landlord John Horsley said they were keen to smash the £10,000 mark this weekend.
"The auction is usually a good laugh," he added.
Anyone wanting to donate items can bring them to the pub on Saturday morning.
