TRAVELLERS will be discussed at a Pershore meeting for parish councils from across Wychavon.
A number of sites have sprung up without planning permission, notably at Cleeve Prior, Eckington and Upton Warren, near Droitwich.
Wychavon's head of legal services, Ian Marshall, has been invited to attend the Pershore meeting and explain the council's legal position.
The meeting has been organised by Cleeve Prior parish councillor Richard Beddows and will be held in Pershore Civic Centre on Tuesday, September 21, at 7pm.
"It's a perfect opportunity for me to explain our legal position, as well as that of the parishes and the gipsies," he said.
"As a district council with the responsibility of making planning decisions in line with legislation, we are often stuck in the middle.
"While we respect everyone's right to live according to their cultural heritage, this must be practised within the law."
The meeting has been organised by Cleeve Prior parish councillor Richard Beddows and will be held in Pershore Civic Centre on Tuesday, September 21, at 7pm.
Any parish councils requiring further information should call Mr Beddows on 01789 772522.
