AS I was extremely worried about my friend, an elderly lady of 94 who lives in Aldershot, and not being able to contact her, I didn't quite know what to do.
I went to the Police Station in Castle Street, on Sunday August 15 with my query. A charming policewoman helped me. It was about 4.30, she took all the relevant details, and then said: "Leave it with me".
Driving back home at about 5pm I had a phone call from our police station that contact was established and I would hear from the forces in Aldershot.
I did at 5.45. Brilliant - and at 6.15 I heard from the centre where my dear friend is! I'm truly grateful and full of praise to all concerned. Thank you all who were involved.
