HOW can the First Midland bus company possibly justify the huge increase for return fares in Malvern.
One day the cheapest return fare was 80p, the next day £1.50.
The services are now less reliable and severe cutbacks on the 42 and 45 routes have caused many people, especially the elderly, a great deal of inconvenience and worry. Those of us on low fixed incomes will also find it difficult to cope. Regular bus users are fed up and disgusted by the attitude of this company.
Why should we have to pay more for a poorer service. Let us hope that another bus service could obtain the franchise and shunt First Midland on to the hard shoulder. They need some competition now to make them see how those of us without transport are suffering.
