A BOAT that enables disabled people to enjoy cruises has had to be withdrawn from service for the year.
The boat, which belongs to the Disabled Afloat Riverboat Trust, based at Upton, was found to have dry rot and was taken out of the water to be refurbished.
This is expected to cost between £120,000 and £150,000.
The Trust hopes to raise some of the money to pay for the work through fundraising. Its first event will be a craft fair to be held at Upton Memorial Hall tomorrow (Saturday). The fair runs from 10am to 4pm and admission is free.
