DRIVERS were diverted through the back streets of Worcester when two pranksters closed off one of the city's busiest roads.
Two men were videotaped putting a "Road Closed" sign and cones in the middle of London Road just before 1am, on Wednesday.
Several cars are shown on the footage turning round by the Tesco Express garage and looking for a diversion route.
"The road can be used by boy racers and I often videotape things there," said the resident who caught the incident on film.
"These men stole a barrier advertising a school fete and then put this sign in the middle of the road.
"It really confused drivers, but what is worse is that it could have caused an accident.
"I know ambulances use the road as their main route into Worcester. What if they had taken notice of the sign?"
