A writer from Poolbrook has just published her third volume of poetry entitled Poems That Came Two by Two.
Pamela Hahn's poems are drawn from family life, travel and current issues, such as the war in Iraq.
"When I write or read poetry, I look for something understandable that you can relate to, emotions you can pick up on easily," she said.
Her poetry follows a regular, rhyming pattern, which she prefers to free verse. "It gives me structure and rhythm," she explains.
Travels with her husband across Africa, Asia and America form a growing part of her inspiration. Her photos and watercolours by artist Peter Thomas, which illustrate the poems, show the brief snapshots of life they are based upon.
The book is available from Beacon Books, Malvern and the Pepperpot Print in Upton-upon-Severn. To commission readings ring Mrs Hahn on 07963 877181.
