MAGICIAN Wizard Wonky will be entertaining with his uniquely inept magic show at this year's Children's Fun Week at Eastnor Castle.

The annual fun week is now in its ninth year and runs from Monday, August 16 to Friday, August 20.

Younger children will be encouraged to learn through play with hands-on workshops including pottery, model making and banner making. The children will work with Jon Williams, from Eastnor Pottery, to create a clay replica of Eastnor Castle and will work in groups to create enormous fantasy creatures to head a procession at the end of each day.

Face painters will make the girls look like princesses and film and TV make-up artists will make boys up like battle-scarred heroes.

Also in the grounds of the castle will be a Knight's Maze, mini assault course, happy trains, Victorian swing boats, zip wire, bouncy castle and king swing.

Tickets are only available on the day. Admission is £6.50 a day for children between five and 15, £4 for children between two and four, £5.50 for adults. Weekly passes available. Details are on www.east norcastle.com.
