TWO people have been arrested after poor quality fake £20 notes were seized in Kidderminster.
So far five notes have been found in the town, but police fear more are in circulation.
The notes are said to be made from thicker paper than genuine currency and are also lighter in colour.
The watermark of the Queen stands out as the image ends at the chin rather than the neck. Their serial numbers are CB36410650 and BE36410650.
"The notes are quite easily identifiable as fake," said PC Diane Goodman. "We urge both traders and members of the public to check any notes they are given carefully."
Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact PC Goodman at Kidderminster police station on 08457 444888.
