BROMYARD Gala, Country Show and Steam Rally begins tomorrow (Saturday) and a host of entertainment is on offer to visitors.

The two-day event at Birchyfields offers all the fun of a traditional country show.

Highlights in the main arena include the Solent Eagles Motorcycle Display Team and, on Sunday, the usual calvacade of heavy horses.

The gala parade has a forties theme and will be on Saturday at 2.30pm.

The event runs from 9.30am on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are £7.50 for adults, £6 for OAPs and £2 for children.

A range of community events have been going on in the run up to the gala.

Winners of the seniors football competition on Sunday were Sutton B, who beat Bromyard A.

Around 150 people played in Monday's rounders tournament, with The Rose and Lion winning the seniors and The Return of Hardman Hyde the juniors.

A donkey derby was due to take place last night, there was a pub quiz at the Royal Oak on Tuesday and a charity whist drive on Wednesday.
