ECKINGTON recorded a double triumph at the annual Avon Cup and Shield Bridge competition.
The winners provided two of the teams of four with Evesham and Pershore also providing two teams and Tewkesbury one.
Staged at the Evesham club, the quartet of Sally Martin, Rob Carman, Wilf Atkinson and Mary Raven lifted the Avon Cup and, when the B team's score was taken into account, it was Eckington who also topped the points standings to take the Shield.
The B team consisted of Roger Cooke, Jackie Shepherd, Audrey Evans and Eve Randsley.
