MEMBERS of Harvington Golf Society staged an AM/AM competition in memory of former fixture secretary Chris Moss who died last year.
The Vale Golf and Country Club welcomed 26 members and the best two scores on each hole accrued stableford points.
Early pacesetters D Drink-water, I Crocker, R Proctor and J Walters posted a challenging target of 84 points that was eventually overhauled by C Loh, B Claude, F Fawkes and M Filleul.
The team of four almost rattled up their target of five points per hole in scoring 87 points that proved two too many for the later quartet of K savage, R Jackson, I Long and D Patten.
The course will now be enhanced with a group of trees that will be planted in Chris's memory after the magnificent total of £1,500 was raised on the day.
