NEW signing Christian Moore will give opposition defences a torrid time claims new Worcester City team-mate Pat Lyons.

Midfielder Lyons, who spent three seasons with Moore at Burton Albion, is backing the 31-year-old striker to make a big impact at St George's Lane.

The ex-Telford forward, who signed for City after returning from a month in America, has forged a reputation as a feisty customer but will be an asset believes Lyons.

"He is quite fiery in the sense that he gives 100 per cent and isn't afraid to put his foot in," said Lyons.

"With big centre halves he's not frightened to get stuck in -- he certainly lets them know he's there."

"It's a great signing," added Lyons.

"What you have to realise is that Christian has played at some big clubs and has performed. He went from Ilkeston for £17,000 to Burton and performed well for three or four years and got better especially towards the end.

"What he does do, is link the play well. He'll come and show for feet, and you can bounce passes off him and he'll get hold of it.

"He's only small but he's got good touch and is quite strong. He comes off into areas, can hold the ball and also run at defenders. He's a good finisher and you know he will score goals if he gets chances."
