JAMES Percival's man-of-the-match display helped earn England U-21s fifth place in the IRB World Championships.
The nation defeated Wales 26-19 for a best ever finish in the competition, hosted by Scotland this year.
Worcester Rugby Club's lock, who turns 21 in November, earned the praise of his England manager Peter Drewett.
He said: "A number of the players in the England squad did themselves a lot of good. It's now up to them to work hard in pre-season and establish themselves in Premiership first teams.
"James has done very well in the second row and has been a regular in the team."
Percival, of Kidderminster, said: "It's been a great experience. The standard, especially against New Zealand in the opening match, has been very high."
England crushed Argentina 39-13 to earn Sunday's showdown with Wales in the contest which was won by New Zealand.
