THE Birdseye Sports Evesham and District Sunday League staged its' AGM at Evesham WMC where six new clubs were accepted into the set-up.

Former member clubs Pinvin United, Eckington and Honeybourne Gate Inn were joined by Royal Oak, George and Lenches Lions.

With no clubs withdrawing, a four division constitution was agreed for the coming season that will start on Sunday, September 5.

Presentations were made to Malcolm Harris ( Referee of the Year ), Vicky Young of Bell United (Club Secretary of the Year), while long-service awards were presented to Ian Houghton (Wickhamford FC ) and referees Dave Donnison and Martin Malin, the latter becoming the first referee to complete 20years' unbroken service to the league.

Ashton won the League Merit Award.

All current League Officers were re-elected and there were no alterations to league rules.

Division Four: Bell United, Cider Mill, Bengeworth Sports, Riverside, Bengeworth United, Crown Athletic, Eckington, Lenches Lions, George, Honeybourne Gate Inn, Pinvin United, Royal Oak.

l INKBERROW Eagles Junior FC are looking to recruit new players for their Under 10, 11, 12 and 15s sides that play in the Ambassador Evesham and Mercian Festival Junior Leagues.

The progressive and friendly club is committed to the FA Charter Standard and boasts high calibre FA qualified coaches.

l FOLLOWING a successful 2003/2004 campaign in the Ambassador Evesham League, Peopleton Under-12s are preparing to play in the same surroundings next season.

The village club has achieved FA Charter Standard and all coaches and managers possess FA Coaching, First Aid and Child Protection qualifications.
