A MAN who used a glass as a weapon in a pub fight pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding at Worcester Crown Court.
Ryan Eddery, aged 22, of Pleasant Street, Kidderminster, had acted in self defence but went "over the top" against the victim, Clint Wilks, said the defendant's barrister, Tim Harrington.
Eddery admitted the offence, which happened on September 9 last year on the day he was due to face trial by jury.
Judge Andrew Geddes granted Eddery bail while a pre-sentence report is prepared.
