SOME of the country's best-loved actors will appear in a brilliantly crafted and hugely entertaining comedy by Charles Laurence at Malvern Theatres next week.
Gwen Taylor will take the lead role in About Alice, playing the widow of a famous sculptor whose charisma, humour and bohemian spirit captivate those around her.
After attending a funeral with her distinguished old friend Ned, Alice is approached by Peggy, an American business-like publisher who proposes to publish the late sculptor's memoirs.
Gwen Taylor is well known for her television roles in Barbara, Duty Free, Born and Bred and A Bit Of A Do. She will take to the stage in the Festival Theatre at Malvern next week alongside Francis Matthews.
About Alice runs from Monday to next Saturday and tickets priced £12 to £18 are available from the box office on 01684 892277 or online at www.malvern-theatres.co.uk.
