AS the original organiser and then a founder member of the Pershore RAFA, I read the report and viewed the picture of its standard being retired into Pershore Abbey with a little sadness and a great deal of pride.
While sad to think that there is, no longer, a membership to support such a branch, I am very proud to have been a friend of all the wonderful men I met by being a member.
To the relatives of those no longer with us and to the 'old uns' who are, tell the young ones that their town was made the richer by a great bunch of comrades and ask them to respect the standard which has been left in memory of them.

l Do you think we are forgetting the contribution made by those few to the many? Should the standard remain lowered? Have you some memories you'd like to share with readers?
