GARDENING CLUB: On a wet and blustery evening more than 25 members of the club turned out to visit the delightful garden of Anne and Brian Dudley at Norton. Tucked away next to St Egwin's church, this narrow, winding garden with open views of the Lenches is a treasure trove of rare and unsual plants together with many of the more well known varieties.

The rain stopped long enough for everyone to enjoy exploring the garden and buy some of the many plants on sale. Afterwards refreshments were served by the committee in Norton Church and a vote of thanks was proposed by Hugh Blunstone to Anne and Brian. The next meeting on Wednesday, July 28, is also a garden visit to Touchstone at Wickhamford, the home of Rowlatt and Derrick Cook.
