A SECOND successive century from the bat of Tony "George" Cowley helped Badsey to an easy victory in last Saturday's Worcester-shire County League Division Six fixture.

Cowley's unbeaten 101 helped his side amass a daunting 260-6 from their allotted overs and Cutnall Green were struggling from the start of their replay as Emerson Paul's five wickets helped skittle them for 96.

Cowley came to the crease after father and son Dave and Nick Powell had added 47 for the third wicket and he continued in the same vein as the previous weekend as he smashed the Green attack to all parts of the ground.

Badsey rattled up 145 off the final 15 overs as Dave Powell (40) and Marcus Humpston (25) helped Cowley demolish the Worcester side's bowling.

Emerson Paul and brother Tom quickly made inroads and the reply had slipped to 60-5 after 14 overs.

There was some stubborn resistance but Badsey weren't to be denied as they moved up to second in the table.

Humpston continued his good form with the bat the next day as he recorded his maiden half-century in senior cricket and then smashed an unbeaten 100 against Pershore Under-14s in the Worcestershire Junior League Knockout Cup.
