HAVING recently returned from a Spanish resort town, I feel I must once again write and protest at the state of the street cleansing as practised in Wyre Forest.

Each day the streets were cleaned - not mechanically but by people - and washed at least once a week. Bins were emptied nightly!

When I have spoken to people in other parts of the UK, they have their bins emptied weekly, not fortnightly as we do, so it's obviously not impossible.

I would also point out that in Spain, all drains were free flowing, not full of earth and tree shoots.
