The defender joined Harriers for a second spell in March 2004, signing a contract until the end of the season.

A left-footed player who can deliver a good set-piece and likes to attack down the flank with a fine range of passes, Burton played just 14 games for Hull where Jan Molby was his manager at one point.

After an LDV appearance this season, he linked up with Harriers on loan from October to December in 2003 and made a good impression in eight games, scoring his first senior goal in the 3-0 FA Cup win at Woking.

The Hull-born player was rated as a good prospect at his home club but boss Peter Taylor decided his contract would not be renewed in the summer so Molby took advantage by swooping for a free-transfer deal.
