ADAM Hollioake will captain a star-studded World Xl against Worcestershire Royals in a Twenty20 match at New Road next month.

The former Surrey and England skipper will lead a side likely to include some of the top names in international cricket on Monday, June 28.

Hollioake, who captained his Surrey Lions to the inaugural Twenty20 Cup title last summer, has already recruited Sussex overseas pair Mushtaq Ahmed and Murray Goodwin and the side is likely to be bolstered by Worcestershire's Andy Bichel and Andrew Hall.

The match, arranged in conjunction with Tom Moody's Testimonial Year, will provide the County with a tough test before they bid to lift the Twenty20 Cup this summer.

New Road director of cricket Tom Moody said: "We have got some great players already signed up for the World team and more are set to follow. This is going to be a very competitive game of cricket and a good test for our squad."

Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £4 for children in advance, £10 and £5 on the day.

In addition to the World Xl match the Royals take on Glou-cestershire Gladiators on Friday, July 2, and Glamorgan Dragons on Thursday, July 15.

Tickets are available from the ticket office -- 01905-337921 or online at www.wccc.co.uk.
