I AM a student of languages at Wolverhampton University, currently completing my third year abroad.

I read the Shuttle online every week, and I am absolutely disgusted to read about the proposed cutbacks of the 192 bus service.

I have seen the regulars that use this service, and I think it is a very important lifeline for the people of Wyre Forest.

Moreover I think it is very poor that there is no direct link to Wolverhampton.

The axing of the service to Merry Hill was also a bad mistake. I had travelled on this bus occasionally, and the stop at Dudley bus station enabled me to get to Wolverhampton much quicker.

As a resident of Kidderminster I have also been a regular user of the 192 service, to get me either to Birmingham for a train link to Wolverhampton, or a further bus from Bearwood to Wolverhampton.

As a consequence of this, and at great expense with my student loan, I had to purchase both a monthly train ticket and a monthly First bus ticket.

Therefore it is very lucky that there are still trains available, and that I have a moped to get me to university for my final year.
