TENNIS: Stourport Tennis and Squash Club's new recruit is aiming to develop potential Wimbledon stars of the future.
Robert Tarpey, an LTA level two performance coach with 15 years' experience, has set developing the club's junior section as his first task.
Tarpey was previously coach at Wollaston Lawn Tennis Club, Stourbridge, where he built up a respected track record of identifying and encouraging talented youngsters.
He said: "In any sport the development of a strong junior squad is important for the future of the game and tennis is no exception."
Coaching for juniors at the Tan Lane club is open to all on Fridays from 4.30pm for U-9s, 5.30pm for 13-and-unders and from 6.30pm for over-13s.
