I COULD not believe my eyes when I read your report on the Age Concern and Pension Service centre which has open in Wythall to offer advice to the "over 50s" (Advertiser, May 5).

I do not need any help in filling in forms or a surgery to give me advice on anything.

I do not consider myself an "older" resident who is in need of help to complete forms on benefits or housing and holidays.

I am, at present, employed by Worcestershire County Council in a most important position.

Indeed, I look 10 years younger than the two ladies featured in your article.

When will people realise that being over 50 is a number and not a state of mind?
