JAN Molby is facing a major team rebuilding job after a massive exodus of players from Kidderminster Harriers yesterday.

The Aggborough director of football has told nine players that their contracts will not be renewed, leaving just six with deals that tie them to the Division Three club until next season.

Those shown the door are Stuart Brock, Scott Stamps, Graham Ward, Matt Gadsby, Kenny Coleman, Adam Willis, John Williams, Mark Yates and Sean Parrish.

Already under contract are Wayne Hatswell, Adam Murray, Dean Keates, Lee Jenkins, Scott Rickards and Jesper Christiansen.

Six players whose contracts were due to expire this summer - John Danby, Dean Bennett, Steve Burton, Craig Hinton, Abdou Sall and Chris McHale - have all been offered terms to stay at Aggborough.

Defenders Sall and McHale have wasted no time in signing new contracts.

Sall, who made seven appearances during the season following his return to Aggborough, has put pen to paper on a one year deal.

McHale has signed a two year contract following his progression from the club's youth set-up to the first team.

Molby is already making plans to boost the squad for next term.

The former Liverpool star said: "I predict I will bring in seven or eight new players during the close season.

"However, we can't afford to go out and bring in a host of Third Division 'ready' players.

"The players brought in will be a combination of those who I feel will improve the team immediately, along with some youngsters, who I feel could be worth a gamble for the future.

"It's important to stress that with so many new players coming in over the summer supporters will have to be patient and wait for the team to gel."
