THE Learning and Skills Council (LSC) Herefordshire and Worcestershire has strengthened its team with three new appointments.

The LSC, which is responsible for all post-16 education and training outside higher education, has appointed Andrea Chilton as performance and standards manager, responsible for performance management, quality improvement and equal opportunities within the further education, work-based learning and community learning sectors.

Vivette Sanders has been appointed as strategic skills broker for the workforce development team, following a four-year spell at retail giant Marks & Spencer. She will co-ordinate services and provision to support workforce development within the engineering, manufacturing and retail sectors.

Christine Elliot has been appointed as personal assistant to executive director Alan Curless and is responsible for supporting him in his busy role, managing all the associated administration and running the executive office.
