IN reply to Coun Ian Fearnside's letter regarding the proposed demolition of Gold Hill Rest Home and the erection of 15 flats on this site, I take particular umbrage to his comment that it could be a suitable development for Townsend Way.
I challenge him to find anywhere along Townsend Way that looks remotely like " a rundown suburb of Leeds". Townsend Way is lovely - we do not want an "office block" either Mr Fearnside.
