MYSTERY abounds in Alvechurch Dramatic Society's spring production A Murder is Announced.
The Miss Marple tale, written by Agatha Christie and adapted for stage by Leslie Darbon will be performed at Alvechurch Village Hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening at 8pm.
Society spokesman Chris Davies said: "The announcement in the paper states the time and place of a murder to occur in Miss Blacklock's early Victorian house.
"Unable to resist the mysterious invitation, a crowd begins to gather at the appointed time when, without warning, the lights go out.
"What follows is a classic Christie puzzle."
Tickets are £5 (concessions £4) from Alvechurch Post Office or on 0121 447 7071.
