A CITY store has raised more than £160 for Amazing Amy's charity - funding research into chemotherapy.

Staff at Homebase, in Blackpole, organised a collection to raise funds for Amy Lambert's charity, which supports the research at Birmingham Children's Hospital - where the six-year-old, of Rainbow Hill, Worcester, was treated for leukaemia.

Amy, who is now in remission, and her parents, 29-year-old Laura Duffy and Darren Lambert, aged 33, have raised thousands of pounds for the pioneering research - which could help determine the correct doses of chemotherapy needed by youngsters.

Miss Duffy was thrilled to discover staff and customers had supported the cause, over the Easter Bank holiday weekend.

"We are really pleased. It's nice to know we've got help from local businesses," she said.
