WORCESTER'S Simon Archer and Donna Kellogg eased their way back into Olympic contention in Geneva when they won their opening mixed doubles contest in the European Badminton Championships team event.
The England pair, both sidelined since last month's All England Championships with back problems, made a winning return when they beat Andrej Pohar and Urska Silvester 15-5, 15-6 in England's opening 5-0 win over Slovenia in Group 'B'.
Archer, the Olympic bronze medallist in Sydney with Jo Goode, sat out the evening clash with Wales on day one along with Kellogg. But England came through 3-2 despite losing the first two singles.
