WORCESTER Wolves' players are being urged not to miss out on a date at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.

Wolves take on Westminster Warriors at University College Worcester tonight (7pm) in the semi-finals of the National Basketball League Division Two play-offs.

The reward for the winners is a final at the NIA against North-West London or Hackney on May 1 -- and player-coach Rick Solvason says it's a chance in a lifetime for his players which they must not pass up.

He said: "Everybody is excited about tonight. It's our last home game of the season with a chance to play in our first play-off final.

"Four or five of our guys are from the Birmingham area and anyone who's involved in basketball wants to play at a venue like that. We have had some big games this season and here is a chance to play in another one."

Wolves will start as favourites but will not be underestimating a Westminster side they have beaten twice in the league this season.

"They had been on a bit of a bad run but have picked it up and went to Liverpool and won in the quarter-finals," Solvason added.

"They are aggressive and athletic and will come out hungry -- we will have to match that.

"Being at home will make a big difference with the crowd behind us. They have been fantastic all season."

Wolves have been boosted by the news that forward Keith Jarrett will be available for the game after the club received no notification from his American college, where he is due to return for pre-season training.

Solvason said: "He was at training this week and we've had no word from his college so he is available and will be playing.

"He is coming off two really good games for us. We are happy for him to try and fulfil his dream in the States but if it continues to be up in the air, we are hopeful he may stay for the final."

Dean Blake returns to the squad after family commitments forced him to miss Wolves' last two games, but Renaldo Edmondson will miss out after aggravating an ankle injury in training.

Tickets are available on the door tonight.
