A FATHER has stumped up a reward in a bid to track down the man who savaged his son's ear.

Gareth Kelly suffered extreme bleeding after he was attacked outside RSVP in Worcester, after an evening out with friends.

The 21-year-old victim, from Kidderminster, was set upon by at least one man and had part of his ear bitten off outside the bar in The Cross on Friday, February 6 at around 10.20pm.

Shortly after the attack, Mr Kelly's friend, who is not being named by police, lost a tooth after being knocked to the floor and kicked in the face, by the same white attacker.

On top of the reward offered - an undisclosed cash sum from his father Paddy - Worcester police have issued a CCTV picture of a man and a woman they want to interview in connection with the incident.

Mr Kelly, of St John's Avenue, was taken by ambulance to Worcestershire Royal Hospital and later transferred to Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham, for surgery. He is expected to undergo further surgery in about five months time.

The man wanted for questioning by police is around 24 years old, 6ft tall, clean-shaven, with one-inch-long spiked and gelled dark-coloured hair.

He was possibly wearing a short-sleeved khaki-green T-shirt - with either a motif or writing on the front - and possibly dark-coloured jeans.
