MIDFIELD warrior Mark Yates has warned his Kidderminster Harriers team-mates against accepting 50 points to guarantee Division Three safety.

Director of football Jan Molby was delighted to see Harriers reach his target with Monday's 2-1 win over high-flying Huddersfield after Saturday's 1-0 setback at fellow strugglers Carlisle.

But neither Molby nor Yates will allow Harriers to relax with another big game on Saturday at Cambridge United who are two points behind and still in danger.

The experienced Yates, one of the inspirations behind Harriers' revival, said: "It's just given everyone a lift after Saturday and taken a little bit of the pressure off.

"But we are still not out of the woods yet. We've got four games left and must aim to get as many points as possible out of them to secure a higher finish up the league table.

"We were disappointed with Saturday's performance and had to show a bit of character and determination to bounce back."

Yates is out of contract, like many of Harriers players, in the summer but is in no rush to sort his future out, though the competitive 34-year-old is happy at Aggborough.

And he had words of praise for young keeper John Danby who has grabbed his chance in goal with both hands, including a terrific display to keep the score down at Carlisle.

Yates added: "John's been fantastic in training. He trains like he plays and not everyone does that.

"He's a difficult keeper to beat, a good shot stopper, and a young lad. They say keepers mature a bit later so I'm sure he's got a future in the game."

Midfielder Adam Murray should return to Saturday's squad after his girlfriend gave birth on Monday.

But Dean Bennett has played his last game this season as his knee cartilage tear required an operation in Birmingham yesterday.

Harriers will check on the fitness of Dean Keates (knee), Graham Ward (quad) and Scott Stamps (knee) today, while the future of Ian Foster is also in the balance.

Molby was due to extend his loan until the end of the season but Foster now faces a three-match ban, taking in the Torquay and Boston games, after a red card for violent conduct on Monday.
