SIXWAYS was treated to a VIP on Saturday as Billy Boston came to town.
The rugby league legend made his first trip to Worcester Rugby Club to watch his grandson Wes Davies in action against Penzance and the winger didn't disappoint -- marking the occasion with a hat-trick of tries in the 71-10 win.
"I've been made very welcome," said Boston. "The club have been very good and the day turned out perfectly with Wes scoring a hat-trick.
"He did it to prove me wrong! He always says he never scores when I watch him so it was nice to see," said a delighted Boston.
"He was chuffed with the tries I think," added Davies. "We always have a bit of a joke but it was great to get back on the try trail especially in front of him."
Boston remains the outstanding player in rugby league, having scored 571 tries in first class matches -- the most by any British player.
