JOHN Brain and Andy Keast insist it's just a case of dotting the i's and crossing the t's over their new contracts.

Worcester Rugby Club's coaching duo, who have been offered new deals by chairman Cecil Duckworth following their incredible season, look set to sign the contracts within the next week.

"I don't envisage any problems with myself or Andy," said Brain. "We're grateful to the chairman for making our contracts a priority because it sends out a clear statement.

"We've said to the players that it would be unethical for us to talk about next season with them before we've sorted our own futures out.

"The reasons that Andy and myself want to stay at Worcester is that it is an ambitious club and winning promotion would give us a fresh set of tests.

"The challenge of getting Worcester into the Premiership has been very hard work but I think next season, if we do wrap up promotion, would be even harder."

Brain arrived at Sixways in 2001 and has transformed a club which had built up a reputation for 'trophy' signings and perennial underachievement.

However, three seasons down the line and Worcester look certainties to take their place in rugby's top flight and could go up having won all of their 26 National One matches.

"It's very easy to get too far ahead of yourself in life," added Brain. "So we are not looking any further than tomorrow's game at Henley.

"We will turn over a new chapter once this one has been concluded. However, the club is ready for the Premiership now. I don't think we were ready when I first arrived at the club. If we had won promotion, we would have come straight down.

"What I know now is that we have the foundations off the field in place if we went up. There is still a lot of hard work to be done, however."

Worcester's team to face Henley away tomorrow is: O'Leary; Garrard, Hinshelwood (Officer), Trueman, Davies (Hylton); Hayes, Powell; Windo, Daly, Lyman, Zaltzman, Gillies, C Evans, Pfister, Hickey.

There has been some snow at Henley but officials are confident the game will go ahead tomorrow.
