THERE'S no place like home! We return to Sixways on Saturday after a long break away and the boys are delighted to be back.

We've played Wakefield, Henley and Penzance in the past four weeks so we haven't actually been at home since the Manchester game in early February. It's just the way things have fallen but the guys admit it's good to be back in front of our home crowd.

It is getting to that point where we have a points target for promotion and we know it is going to be 12 more now.

That means victory over Plymouth on Saturday, at Exeter and then, fingers crossed, the next time we play at Sixways we could be celebrating promotion. Coincidentally, the April 3 date with Bristol, will hopefully see me make some sort of comeback. If everything went well -- what a great day to come back! I began cycling again this week and I feel OK so it's just a case of taking each week as it comes.

The boys go into the game pretty happy with their form although they were tested against Penzance. Looking at the match, it was clear that we leaked four tries again but two were turnovers so it is difficult to do much about them. We're not happy with the defensive side but maybe, since Wakefield, we've been so obsessed with defence that it's actually become counter productive.

What we've said is that we don't think there's anything fundamentally wrong with our defensive shape and we think that will be clear against Plymouth. What's good about Saturday's game is that it is a 'proper' test for us against a side who actually fancy their chances of beating us.

Plymouth have an absolutely fantastic record since November and have only lost once since we beat them on their own turf. In that time, they've beaten Orrell and have won at places such as Otley, Bedford and Exeter. If those statistics don't tell you that they're a decent side then nothing will.

We know they're a big, physical team and our players are really looking forward to the challenge. With all the criticism of our defence lately, the players are going full out to show that we have not gone off the boil.

What was clear in the Penzance match was that there were a few individual mistakes which led to missed tackles and turnovers and we have to try and cut down on them because it is costing us.

It's all about concentration and we all know just how important it will be to be switched on against Plymouth because they are a side who can punish mistakes just as well as Penzance did on Saturday.

I hope that Worcester people get down to Sixways in their thousands on Saturday. The fact that there are only three home games left this season should make want people to sample this season before it's too late.

It's all about getting behind the team now and pushing them into the Premiership. I'll be doing my bit with the water bottles and I hope the city gets behind the club again. Let's bring the house down!
