MARK Gabey has informed Worcester he will be at Sixways next season.

The heavyweight lock has told director of rugby John Brain he intends to have another crack at promotion with Worcester.

Gabey was one of a number of players to pledge their futures with David Officer, Gavin Pfister, Neil Mason and Neil Lyman agreeing to stay on for another season. Most of last season's squad are committed to next season with the only question marks surrounding Dan Zaltzman, John O'Reilly and Stewart Pearl.

Meanwhile, early indications of the forthcoming Arlidge inquiry report, into alleged financial misconduct by National One champions Rotherham, suggests that nothing of substance has been found.

Rotherham were alleged to have agreed to take payments from Premiership clubs in return for staying down last season.

However, the RFU inquiry seems to have dug up more questions than answers. Rotherham are now unlikely to be punished and will take their place in the Premiership next season.
