SPORTS EDITOR'S MAILBAG
I TOTALLY agree with the comments of C Footitt (Shuttle/Times & News, September 18) on the decline of Kidderminster Harriers. In fact, I would imagine most supporters do.
We have backed the club in purchasing season tickets, but it appears to be a shambles behind the scenes.
We have spent weeks waiting for the new club strip to appear, the new Harriers TV is still not working, we forgot to change the times on the sprinkler system, forcing the game against Scunthorpe to be interrupted, and five weeks into the season our club captain is on his bike - a ridiculous decision.
Despite constantly moaning about the players, Ian Britton has brought the majority of this on himself.
His contacts within the game are obviously limited. This is now borne out by the signings he has made, Adam Willis excluded.
For most of last season the influence of Jan Molby was still evident but sadly this has disappeared, along with the quality of players like Appleby, never being replaced.
Unless somebody is brought in with organisation and contacts to possibly work alongside Britton, the Conference gates are open wide.
