IT IS quite amusing to read that Ian Britton is asking the fans to lay off the players' backs.

When you consider the way he has been castigating the players to the press, I think the manager needs to look at himself first.

I think the players are not playing for him. We have the nucleus of a decent team but there is no team spirit.

All around the club it is doom and gloom, and until the chairman pulls everybody together we will remain in free-fall.

There are enough good managers out of work who would jump at the chance of managing Kidderminster Harriers and have time now to pull things around before Conference football looms.
