DIRECTOR of football Jan Molby believes new on-loan signing Andy White will give Kidderminster Harriers' strike force a much needed boost.

The 21-year-old front-runner made his debut in last Saturday's 2-2 Nationwide League Division Three draw against Cambridge United and was hoping to open his goals account in this afternoon's FA Cup first round encounter with Nationwide Conference strugglers Northwich Victoria at Aggborough

The six feet four inch campaigner has moved to Harriers on a two-month loan deal from Third Division Mansfield Town.

Molby said: "When I signed him I knew what I was going to get.

"I was going to get another body I could put out there and I knew he was going to give me a performance at this level.

"He's played roughly 100 games at this level and I think he was a handful against Cambridge.

"At times he was over keen on Saturday. He was desperate to impress, but in terms of working hard and giving defences a hard time I don't think we could have asked for any more.

"Once he settles down and gets to know the players better then I think he'll relax a bit more and hopefully we'll get a bit more out of him."

White began his career at non-league Hucknall Town before moving to Mansfield.

He spent a month on loan at Crewe Alexandra last season and also had a brief stint with Boston United earlier this term.
