JAMIE Faulkener is on the brink of an amazing recovery and could be fit to start for Droitwich Spa RFC First XV at Pershore this Saturday.
Try machine Faulkener looked set to miss up to 12 weeks with ankle ligament damage.
But director of rugby Julian Bailey said: "It was a bad injury but he seems to be recovering quickly. We will look at him this week. He will definitely be back the following week if not this week."
Bailey also knows how tough Pershore could be.
"That will probably be the toughest game of the year," he said. "I know for sure my lads will be prepared for what will be put in front of them."
