KIDDERMINSTER Harriers are have suffered a delay in their bid to bring Danish striker Jesper Christiansen to Aggborough before Christmas.

The 23-year-old six-footer will not now be arriving until January 1, dashing hopes that he would be available to make his debut in Harriers home Nationwide League Division Three clash against Leyton Orient on December 13.

Kidderminster's director of football Jan Molby said: "We've agreed a deal but he won't be here until January 1 because of the transfer window. We have tried but it was impossible. We do come under a transfer window when we take players from foreign FAs, so hopefully his first game will be in the third round of the FA Cup or a local derby against Cheltenham on January 3.

Molby revealed that by the time Harriers kick off against Leyton Orient he could have a couple of new players in his squad, one being a midfielder.

Defender Adam Willis, meanwhile, is to stay a further month on loan at Nationwide Conference outfit Burton Albion.
