JESPER Christiansen still can't believe his first game for Kidderminster Harriers will be in their dream FA Cup clash at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, January 3.

Harriers chief Jan Molby has agreed terms for the Odense Boldklub striker to move to Aggborough when the Danish transfer window opens on January 1.

And the eager 23-year-old was in telephone contact with his fellow countryman and Harriers front-runner Bo Henriksen soon after the third round draw was made last Sunday.

Molby said: "He was on the phone to Bo and was very excited about it. He couldn't quite believe it.

"It's almost impossible isn't it? He's home in Denmark, never played for us, but knows that after January 1 he's available and his first game is against a Premiership team.

"He will never have played against anyone as good as Wolves and I think he's still pinching himself. He was excited coming over here for a trial in the first place, but this is going to be a fantastic opportunity for him."

Meanwhile, midfielder Dean Bennett, who scored twice in last Saturday's 3-0 FA Cup win at Woking, was hoping to celebrate his 26th birthday today by getting on the scoresheet again in Harriers' home Nationwide League Division Three match with Leyton Orient.

The former Bromsgrove Rovers campaigner, whose current Aggborough contract is due to expire at the end of the season, said: "If the club offered me a new deal I'd love to stay.

"This is my sixth season with the club and I regard it as my club now. However, that decision rests with the manager. "Hopefully I can do enough between now and the end of the season to warrant a new contract."
