KIDDERMINSTER Harriers newcomer Lee Jenkins is today coming to terms with the heartbreak of knowing he will miss Saturday's dream FA Cup third round clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 24 year-old faces a knee operation and could be out for up to six weeks.

"It's a blow," said Harriers director of football Jan Molby, who recently signed the midfielder from Swansea on an 18-month contract.

He made his debut in the 2-1 victory at Yeovil on Boxing Day but had to be substituted during the first half of last Sunday's 1-0 home win over Bristol Rovers.

Molby said: "He's going to have a scan on his knee this week, but it looks like he's going to need a little operation which will probably keep him out for five or six weeks.

"It was a minor problem that started in training and it just got gradually worse against Rovers.

"But he's a very level-headed lad. He knows it's part of the game and I think he's delighted that he's at a club where he knows he'll be given a chance to play. He'll bounce back from this."

Defender Adie Smith, who missed the Rovers match because of a calf injury, has a '50-50' chance of facing Wolves while striker Andy White is available after his loan spell from Mansfield Town was extended by another month.

Molby said: "White's done well for us. He came in and he was exactly the type that we needed at the time."

Danish striker Jesper Christiansen is also in with a chance of making his debut provided his international clearance comes through in time.

Molby added: "You always have to be aware of the fact he hasn't played for a month, but I'm not worried about that. He's been training with us and his fitness is exceptional."

Harriers cannot apply for his clearance until tomorrow but Molby believes there 'shouldn't be a problem' about him being available for selection.

He also said he did not foresee any problems about the capture of midfielder Adam Murray whose agent revealed that the deal had not yet been finalised.

He said: "I've agreed with Murray an 18-month contract. He's been training with us and I don't foresee there being any problems. He's fully committed to being with us for the next 18 months."

Meanwhile, Harriers have announced that tickets are still available for the Wolves tie.

These will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis but the club stresses that no tickets will be sold on the day.

Telephone bookings (01562-823931) will be accepted and tickets can be collected from the ticket office on the day of the match.
