STOURPORT Swifts crashed to another comprehensive defeat in a Worcestershire Dr Martens Western Division derby on Saturday with a 3-0 loss at Evesham.

They served up a lack-lustre display following the 4-0 beating by Redditch on New Year's Day.

Evesham, meanwhile, made it seven points out of a possible nine over the Christmas period and the game was as one-sided as the scoreline suggests.

The home side ran the show from start to finish and fully deserved to make it three games without defeat.

Stourport on the other hand looked a sorry outfit and finished a well-beaten side.

A first goal on 20 minutes put Evesham on the road to victory.

A knock-down by Lee Ross was fastened onto by Craig Nicholls and he let fly from 20 yards with a first-time shot that beat Lee Evans.

Then Nicholls played the ball into Swifts' six-yard box and Ross side-footed in numer two past Evans two minutes into the second period.

Lee Knight and Grant Pinkney both saw lobs sail just over before United's final move of the game brought them a third.

Craig Pountey out-paced Mark Jones in the box and unselfishly squared for the unmarked Ross to drill a low drive into the corner of the net.
