WHILE Dave Busst had another go at the referee for sending off his skipper, the United manager had no sympathy for Lee Knight, writes Mervyn Collins.
"It was another poor sending off in terms of the two decisions but, having spoken to Lee about his disciplinary problems, it was obviously very disappointing to lose him in his first match back."
The Common Road chief also revealed that Andy Smith had held up his hands and admitted to making a mistake in the build-up to the only goal on Tuesday, while also explaining his decision to leave Lee Ross out of the squad.
"Lee phoned me in the afternoon and said that he was fit," Busst recalled. "But I didn't want to risk him and preferred to ensure that he would be alright for Saturday."
The Evesham boss returns to Damson Park this weekend for a match against former employers Solihull Borough, where Mark Shepherd, who scored twice in a 2-1 win at Cirencester last Saturday, is lying in wait.
Ross should be at least guaranteed a place on the bench while Danny Williams is expected to be fit to play on a surface that his manager believes should suit his skills.
