ANDY White pressed home his claim for a permanent move to Kidderminster Harriers with another eye-catching display on Saturday.

The forward, whose loan from Keith Curle's Mansfield runs until the end of this month, is focussed on still being at the club when Harriers tackle Wolves on Saturday, January 3.

White, 22, said: "I could be sitting in the stands at Mansfield watching them play Burnley, rather than playing against Wolves in front of nearly 7,000 at Aggborough.

"I'm here until the end of this month after the busy Christmas period but would still really like to stay. That's up to Keith Curle and Jan Molby.

"I just set out to work hard in every game I play in and all that was missing was a goal on Saturday. I've had a couple of chances but the team's won and it's a good day for Kidderminster.

"They like to play football which suits me as I do like the ball to my feet and I like to get down the flanks and cut in on my right or left foot.

"I was already celebrating with one chance but the keeper has pulled off a good save. I've played against him before and know he's a good keeper."

The Derby-born player felt Harriers improved in the second period, despite a string of Morris saves in the first half.

White continued: "We started off really slowly and got a real rollicking at half-time as a result. I felt pretty isolated in that first half. The gaffer said it could have still been 6-1 to us though.

"But then we came out all guns blazing with a lot of energy and gave a really good performance in the second half.

"We scored a good second goal and Leyton Orient were never really in the game."

White revealed there could be a secret to the success of goal-scorer Matt Gadsby, his former Mansfield team-mate who he travels to training with.

The players warmed up together at Rochdale and on Saturday with Gadsby scoring both times so expect the same on Sunday!
